Review: A Child with Special Needs DVD
Description: A DVD that presents life with a child who has special needs. Its part of the Rob Reiner series and Sylvester Stallone, who raised an autistic child, hosts it. It also includes real life personal stories from children and their families that deal with special needs everyday of their life.
Review: Understanding a special needs child and what they are going through can be very difficult. Even if you have a special needs child you struggle with what’s right and wrong and even with how they are feeling and thinking.
Rob Reiner started this series as a way to bring children and their special needs to the forefront with the I Am Your Child video series. Not only is it important for families to understand their special child but for them to know they are not alone.
Not only does this DVD include children and parents experiences but there is so much more. The guidance included from doctors, counselors, legal advisors and teachers is beyond anything I have ever seen. This type of guidance is necessary for any parent of a special needs child. The worry of your child alone is more than enough but when you face legal things, teachers wanting to help you and even counselors, it can become more than anyone person can handle. With guidance and some insight it can make all this much easier to bear. This book can help with all those things.
If you have a special needs child or know someone who does, please don’t face it alone. Buy this book and let it help you and your child. It is a way of relieving some of the stress that both of you must endure while feeling a little better about the situation.

Review: Childproofing the Internet
Description: This video gives you the low down on children and Internet. Not only does it talk about the things that are on the Internet but it gives you sound advice on how to keep your children safe while giving them a sense of freedom to surf the Internet.
Review: With all the adult content, hate group and social networking sites on the Internet how is a parent to know if their child is safe while using the computer? Plus all the new technology on computers today kids can hide what they are finding in a blink of an eye. So how does a parent feel comfortable with their child and their Internet experience?
This video gives you the help you need. By taking you through some of the tough questions we as parents need to ask, you can be assured that you are getting the low down about the Internet. These answers are straight forward and informative. They get to the point and leave you feeling like you are the one in control.
The step-by-step guide gives you great directions on how to use the parental controls on your computer. Walking through this guide is easy and simple to understand. I had the controls on my computer set quickly. I felt safe with the knowledge I had learned from this book and comfortable being able to do what was necessary to keep my child safe for Internet predators.
If you have a child that’s on the computer please take a chance on this video. There’s nothing any worse than to hear a story on the news about a child who has been taken advantage of because of the Internet. It’s scary for any parent and can have a very heartbreaking ending if we don’t intervene and guarantee our children’s safety. Just take a look at this video and then follow it’s direction. Your child will be safe and you will have peace of mind too.

Review: Handling Sibling Rivalry, Anger and Temper Tantrums (2000) DVD
Description: This DVD will help you identify why there is sibling rivalry including the temper tantrums and anger that is associated with having more than one child in the family.
Review: Is there a family out there with more than one child that has experienced this before? I don’t think so. Sibling rivalry is a part of life. How it manifests itself and how we as parents handle it is what’s important.
I have three children. There has been sibling rivalry in my household for years. Even as adults it still has a tendency to come out. Anger, temper tantrums, yelling, screaming, name calling was all part of my life. I didn’t like it but I still had to deal with it and usually on a daily basis.
This DVD can help even the worst of situations. It helps to identify what sibling rivalry is and why it comes out like it does. It gives you some information on why children react the way they do to each other. From jealousy to feeling left out, it’s all covered by this DVD.
Mostly this DVD points out the reasons for these types of behaviors. It gives you situations that you can understand because they are everyday things we all deal with if we have more than one child.
Criticism: My only criticism with this DVD is that although it gives the situations and reason why it doesn’t really help much with a solution. Of course every child and family is different so that may be the reason, but a few more tips would have been welcome on my part.
